Route For Use By Pedal Cycles, Horses and Pedestrians Only Sign Face Post Mounted 956.1 (Face Only)

The cycles, horses and pedestrians only sign marks where a footway or footpath has become a shared horse, cycle and pedestrian route. This prevents access to any other vehicles such as motorcycles or horse-drawn carriages where there is no physical barrier to stop them. If the length of path is suitable for horse-drawn vehicles as well, then the “cycles, horse-drawn vehicles and pedestrians only” sign to diagram 956.2 should be used.

This sign should be placed where the path begins, at either 600mm or 750mm diameters as the logos are smaller than most post mounted signs. Repeaters at smaller sizes may then be used to mark where the path continues. Alternatively, the ground marking circle symbol diagram 1057 may be used to remind pedestrians and cyclists of the shared path rather than repeaters.

This sign has no supplementary plates.
