Quick Fit Signs For Temporary Road Works
Quick Fit Signs System
Quick fit sign frames are a major part of our sign range and have recently become more and more popular with traffic management contractors and local authorities due to their versatility. They are quickly becoming the most popular temporary sign system on the UK road network.
The quickest system can be divided into two primary classes, “urban” and “high speed”. For urban areas where vehicles are travelling under 40mph then sign faces of 750mm are suitable, these are supplied in engineering grade or class 1 reflectivity. The appropriate frame for the 600mm and 750mm faces is the Quick Fit Mini.
If working on ‘high-speed’ applications such as dual carriageways and motorways then you will need larger sign faces and at least class 2 reflectivity. The faces will need to be either 900mm or 1200mm in size. You will, of course, need the appropriate frames to accommodate these larger faces also.
Key Quick Fit Sign Features
- One Frame Fits All Faces - Reduce the number of frames that your work teams have to carry. Just take the number of frames you need and swap faces depending on the application.
- Durable Frames - Our frames are coated in aluminium rather than painted preventing corrosion and extending their lifespan.
- High-quality sign faces - Our quick fit sign faces are made to exceptionally strict standards. You will get the grade of sign face that you order.
- Properly elevated signs - The Quick Fit system allows signs to be placed at a height where they can be seen.
Which Sign Face Size For Which Frame?
Getting the right size frame for the face you are installing is important. The key factors are the toggle centres and the frames overall height. Ensuring the width of the frame is correct will ensure that the sign face is adequately supported and resists deformation in windy conditions. We have a guide to which size of Quick Fit Frame is best for each face here.
Ballast Bag Bars
All our Quick Fit sign frames come as standard with lower bars for anchoring sandbags. This lowers the centre of gravity of the sign and improves its wind resistance. We sell the sandbags required with this sign here.
Metal Sign Faces
These traditional metal sign faces are clipped into a “surrounding” frame.
Q-signs are all plastic signs feature integral legs and a face that is “stuck on”.
Cone signs are great for smaller firms that need a compact sign solution. They use a 750mm or 1m cone as a stand.
Roll Up Signs
The ultimate compact sign solution, these roll-up signs roll down and can be fitted into some of the tightest packed work vans.
These are permanent signs for use in car parks, on the road and around factories and workplaces.
Lolipop signs are used on low speed works these signs can be used to quickly and efficiently control traffic.
