Vehicle Width Restriction Sign 629A
This permanent road sign is used to prohibit vehicles over a certain width from proceeding. This restriction can be due to the physical limitations of the road, or due to environmental reasons such as preventing noisy goods vehicles from an area.
The sign contains two measurements with the top line specifying a width in metres and the lower line in feet and inches. This sign is most commonly seen with the following measurements 2.0m and 6’-6” as this prohibits most lorries and heavy goods vehicles.
